Erik Johnson, known professionally as Tsunami, has a deep-rooted passion for rhythm, starting as a drummer and percussionist before naturally transitioning into the world of electronic music. A Chicago native, Tsunami has spent over a decade captivating audiences across the United States, performing at renowned venues and releasing original music on iconic dance labels like Moody Recordings, Toolroom, Juicy Music, and Trax Records.

Tsunami's 2017 collaboration with Mike Vale on Toolroom Records, "Domina", gained significant recognition, receiving strong support from Mark Knight on Toolroom Radio and becoming a standout track on the Ibiza Compilation that summer.

In 2019, Tsunami reached new heights in his career, securing performances at major music festivals such as Spring Awakening, Electric Forest, and North Coast. His talent was further recognized when he won Insomniac's Discovery Project for EDC Orlando, earning a main stage slot and a record deal with Insomniac's label.

One of his notable achievements includes the original track "Green Light District" featured on Trax Records' 35 Years Of House Music compilation, alongside legends like Marshall Jefferson and the Godfather of House Music, Frankie Knuckles. This track received international support from some of the biggest names in dance music.

Today, Tsunami continues to be a prominent figure in Chicago's nightlife, holding residencies at the city's top nightclubs and honing his craft in the studio. His journey from drummer to acclaimed DJ and producer is a testament to his dedication and passion for music.
